Sandi Sylver: Storyteller-Ventriloquist-Songstress   LIBRARY SHOWS   I love the library! After all, I learned to be a ventriloquist by reading a library book!   Since I perform in multiple states, I premier two new Summer Reading Program shows each year.  At least two puppets  "perform" in EVERY show.   NEW THIS YEAR!  After school or evening series of Ventriloquist Workshops for Grades  4 and Up (and can include a Family Night where these budding "vents" can perform for family and friends!)     At every show, "The Girls" always interact with the audience, and when time allows, "Toodles" is available for a "meet and greet" with the children afterwards, which is a wonderful opportunity for parents to take a photo!  Also, unless the majority of children present are really young, I will teach a "micro-mini",  5-minute basic ventriloquist lesson at each show! It's truly amazing to witness children (and grownups) as they learn "to talk for two"!   Although I do not speak Spanish, I presently have in my repertoire, two bilingual stories that I have learned with the help of a Spanish speaking friend.     Programs can be either an eclectic potpourri of stories or theme specific.  (all are suitable for Family Shows)   Current available titles are:   "The Doctor is IN: The All Dr.Seuss Show" (preK-3rd grade) "Blast into Books!" (all ages) "Stories from Book Island" (all ages) "On Your Mark, Get Set, READ!" (sports stories--all ages) "Heroes in our Midst" (all ages) "You Don't Need a Ladder for a Tall Tale" (all ages) "The Teddy Bear Pajama Party" (for younger children) "Mrs.Claus LIVE! from the North Pole" (in costume--all ages) "A Glimmer of Ghosties" (for younger children) "Gross and Gruesome" (for older children) "Sing a Song of Story" (all ages) "Dinosaurs: Colossal Fossils!: (younger children)   Please note: My shows are not "puppet shows", as I perform at least one song and one (usually) interactive story before "The Girls" appear.   Also, I am a VENTRILOQUIST, as opposed to a puppeteer.
