I went to the library to check out a teach-yourself-to-be-a-ventriloquist book. I read it over and over and over again. I practiced and practiced and practiced (and then practiced some more). VOILA! A new career was born!
Specializing primarily in interactive presentations, at the core of it all is
the love of reading, staying curious, being imaginative, as well as being a good person (all in a style I’ve been told is both clever and whacked-out!) I always love when the audience laughs with me, and no longer mind when they laugh AT me!
My fabric, soft-faced, ventriloquist puppet family--there’s not a “Chuckie” in the
bunch--like to joke around, but they are
interactive storytellers above all else. Because children today get distracted and bored so easily, I am able to keep them
This is not Your Grandmother’s Storytelling
engaged and on-their toes with a great variety of material, along with a good mix-up of vent puppets (there are now many more animal and people puppets in the family than are pictured on this website; new photos will be coming.)
Stories, puppets, and music, are always chosen to be
age-appropriate for the audience sitting in front of “us.” With a large and eclectic variety of programs for children (from toddlers through Grade 6), families, and
even for grownups (adults), “we” have presented shows in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New York, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Maryland, Virginia, North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, and California.
